The works of local artist Joy Godfrey, potter Chris Bailey and Bodger Richard Law is on display at Strid Wood Exhibition Centre. The inspiration for all the artworks on view came from the Estate. The exhibition is every weekend from 10am to 4pm.

Early in her life Chris worked as a part time studio potter. She has recently returned to her ceramic work via a National Diploma in Design Crafts, after 15 years working in healing and meditation. Chris' work is widely inspired by nature.

Since acquiring her own studio in 2001 the Ilkley artist's work has become larger in scale. Joy has said she takes delight in mixing her own oil paints and stretching her own canvases. Furniture by Richard Law. The timber used is from the Bolton Abbey Estate.

Richard Law, resident Bodger uses traditional tools and timber thinnings to make the furniture and bird tables on sale. Richard can be found at work on his pole laithe off the green trail in Strid Wood. For further information about Richard and his work visit
