Fly Fishing

As the river flows through the Estate it is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the Yorkshire Dales. Against this beautiful backdrop the 4 ½ mile stretch of water offers extensive opportunities for both the novice and experienced angler. This keepered fishery provides fishing for wild and stocked Brown Trout and Grayling throughout its waters.

2009 Day tickets £30.00 for adults £15 for juniors available from the Estate office between 9am to 10.30am

Our River Keeper, who has a wealth of knowledge of the river, is a member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors and is highly qualified to teach beginners and experienced anglers the skills to get the most out of a day's fishing at Bolton Abbey.

2009 Season Rods are available from the Estate office priced £300.00.

Day ticket holders are able to fish from Kex Beck, Beamsley to the Aqueduct at Barden, offering a varied, exciting and challenging fishing. Adult day tickets cost £30.00 and junior accompanied tickets cost £15.00. A day ticket plus two hours tuition is available from £105.00 per rod.

Season rod holders only can enjoy fishing between the Aqueduct and Barden Bridge as well as waters fished by day ticket holders. Season membership is now available and costs £300.00.
