General information
We have tried to give you as much information as possible about Bolton Abbey and visiting the Estate. Here is some further general information you may find useful.
Banks and cash points
The nearest banks are in Skipton and Ilkley. There is not a cash point on the Estate. The nearest ATM machine is at Addingham Village Store approximately 3 mile outside Bolton Abbey on the B6160 heading towards Ilkley.
Bicycles
Cycle parking is available outside the Cavendish Pavilion and Strid Wood Shop. Cycles are left at your own risk.
Lavatories
There are lavatories in all three car parks. The lavatories are open everyday throughout the year.
Newspapers
Newspaper are on sale everyday in the Village Shop.
Parking in Winter
Admission is free Monday to Friday from November to mid March excluding the Christmas holiday. During the winter months last admission is at 4:00 pm and the car parks are locked at 6:00 pm.
Petrol
The nearest petrol station is approximately 1 mile from Bolton Abbey on the A59 heading towards Skipton.
Post Box and Stamps
Stamps are available from the post office during the hours of opening. National and International stamps are also available from all from all three Estate gift shops. Post boxes are located behind the village shop and in the wall opposite the Cavendish Pavilion.
Telephones
Mobile telephone reception is very inconsistent on the Estate. There is a public telephone positioned behind the Village Shop.
