The Twelve Days of Christmas

25th December to 5th January
10am – 4pm

Enjoy a family walk through Strid Wood on the Green Trail as we bring to life this traditional Christmas carol. Watch out for lords a leaping, geese a laying and test out your skills on the drums.

Begin your adventure at the Cavendish Pavilion and see if you can find all 12 scenes up to the Strid. Collect a trail leaflet on arrival at the kiosk.

This route is suitable for push chairs and wheelchairs. Dogs always welcome, but on a lead please.

Free event - normal Estate admission at the kiosk.

A Bolton Abbey Season Ticket is the perfect Christmas gift that just keeps on giving all year round. Have you ever tried our Easter Egg Hunt or Pumpkin trail in Strid Wood? Well don't miss out on our new trail...The St. Valentine Trial

Bring all the family to seek out the symbols of love hidden along the Valentine Trail in Strid Wood. Pick up a trail sheet at the Cavendish Shop or at the kiosk on arrival.

This event is not just for those pierced by Cupid’s arrow, anyone can join in! Leave your answers at the shop and enter our free prize draw.

All Change at the
Cavendish Pavilion

The Cavendish Pavilion will be closing from 5th January 2012 to the end of March 2012 for a new refurbishment. If you would like a sneak preview...take a look at the new plans which will be displayed outside the Cavendish Pavilion when the work begins.

The Wooden Bridge Lodge (small building next to the Cavendish Pavilion) will be opening daily from 10am to serve a selection of food and drinks for the short term. This will include soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, toasted tea cakes, a selection of cakes and hot and cold drinks.
